[ROUTE 66] :: America comprises a small part of the world's population and yet it consumes a majority of the planets natural resources. Wood, coal, oil, uranium
food chain for the fire of life in the kiva of Earth.
In Atlanta, I found a black stone lying on the ground at the B-Complex. It was a shiny, glass-like remnant of slag, a waste product from the crucibles of the coal-fired foundry that once occupied the site. Fused in fire, like the volcanic cinder cone of Black Rock, it was imbued with special qualities. I carried it with me until the weight became unbearable. Then, somewhere between Chicago and Saint Louis, I turned off onto old Route 66 and accelerated. Taking advantage of planetary spin, I engaged the Overthruster and pushed the Seed through each successive barrier. The harmonic hits your brain like a piano with all keys engaged. Exiting the Maze, I finally came to a stop at the headstone of Mother Jones. It was here that I found the clear crystal of quartz wedged between the slabs. I buried the chunk of slag on the opposite side. Mother Jones has great ju-ju. She will balance the load and keep everything whole. Burn a candle, take something, leave something behind. A simple ritual is sometimes the most effective.
Don't shoot me, I'm just the De-Livery man.
